Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the teaching staff, identify and provide individualized support to children with psychosocial and/or special educational needs and/or disabilities;
  • Undertake and complete enrolments in formal education for migrant/refugee children who are out of school.
  • Promote and enable school access for refugee/migrant children through the provision of technical and administrative support to parents and education stakeholders (RECs, public school administration and teaching staff etc.)
  • Conduct regular mapping of beneficiaries, needs assessment and service mapping ensuring the access of refugee/migrant children to formal education and non-formal education/after-school support opportunities.
  • Perform social work duties and undertake procedures’ implementation when referral(s) to other services are required, within the Athens Solidarity Center services or external partners/organizations etc.
  • Organize an identification and referral system for children at risk including services such as medical, legal, psychological, WASH, shelter etc;
  • Organize and facilitate awareness-raising and group psychosocial support activities, with a support of a psychologist when needed, on a broad range of issues for children as part of the life skills and psychosocial development and learning process inside the classroom;
  • Organize and facilitate parents’ meetings and provide specialized support to parents combating school dropout and resolving challenges that might arise regarding school attendance and children’s needs;
  • Regular reporting and data keeping.

 Required qualifications and skills

  • University degree in Social Work, or other Social Science (e.g. Psychology);
  • Minimum one-year professional experience in social work within the civil society sector, preferably working with vulnerable groups and refugees/migrants;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and ease potential tensions between the project’s beneficiaries;
  • Previous experience in a job entailing direct contact and exchange with vulnerable groups of beneficiaries is an asset;
  • Fluency in Greek and English required;
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word business software;
  • Experience in community mobilization;
  • Cross-cultural awareness and flexibility;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with parents and children of all ages, background and diversity;

Job Overview

The post holder is responsible for the successful coordination of ACE Program in the region of Greece under the guidance of the Project Coordinator. Generic responsibilities

Qualifications

  • University degree (preferably Master’s or PhD) from an accredited academic institution in Education, with a specialization in refugee education.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in relevant position.
  • Previous experience in working with migrant/refugee population.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
  • Knowledge of academic and/or vocational education curricula.
  • Program planning and implementation skills.

Job Requirements / Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in a humanitarian/ development context, including significant field experience.
  • Master’s degree in relevant field (i.e., Humanities, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Law) or equivalent experience.
  • Outstanding project management and organisational skills.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of NGO humanitarian/development program cycle management.

Job Overview

The job holder is expected to fulfill financial and administrative tasks in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The ideal candidate may be able to work under fast-track conditions and meet deadlines, under the guidelines and supervision of the Finance & HR Director.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support financial administration.
  • Perform financial monitoring of programmes.
  • Perform the day-to-day processing of financial transactions.
  • Receive and verify invoices.

  • Maintain all financial records and files as per SN’s policies.

Qualifications

Job overview

The role of the ILC Front Desk Administrator is to support the daily operation of the Center, including communications, scheduling, secretarial services, as well as presentation of the provided services to the beneficiaries. He/She will interact with beneficiaries, staff and visitors in person or via email/phone.

Responsibilities 

  • Provides administrative support in order to ensure the Center’s smooth daily operation.
  • Provides information about the Center and the programme to beneficiaries as required.
  • Meets and greets beneficiaries and visitors in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Books appointments and manages the Center’s daily/ weekly/ monthly calendar.
  • Handles correspondence (phone/ email/ fax/ post).
  • Handles communication with beneficiaries and staff of the ILC.
  • Updates and maintains contact lists.
  • Develops and maintains effective filing systems, both electronically and hard-copy.
  • Collects, organizes and provides to the ILC Coordinator all the data required by the stakeholder.
  • Ensures that the reception area is kept neat and tidy.
  • Undertakes any other tasks requested by the ILC Coordinator

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Humanities, Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, Education and/or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in similar position, preferably in the NGO/humanitarian and/or Education and/or client-oriented services.
  • Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills, in person and over the phone.
  • Proven experience of successful administrative support in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Fluency in Greek or English and Arabic or Farsi
  • Strong sense of initiation, responsibility, ownership and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint , Word and Microsoft Teams business software.
  • Comfortable in managing multiple tasks, with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Cross cultural awareness and flexibility.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate

Επισκόπηση της θέσης εργασίας

To SN αναζητά έναν εξειδικευμένο και έμπειρο κοινωνικό επιστήμονα, ο οποίος θα συνεργαστεί με το Εθνικό Κέντρο Κοινωνικής Αλληλεγγύης (Ε.Κ.Κ.Α.) στο πλαίσιο του έργου “PROCAP / Προστασία θυμάτων εμπορίας ανθρώπων, ανάπτυξη ικανοτήτων και υποστήριξη σε βασικούς κοινωνικούς εταίρους” με στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός ισχυρού συστήματος προστασίας και υποστήριξης των υπηκόων τρίτων χωρών που είναι θύματα εμπορίας ανθρώπων, προωθώντας παράλληλα επικαιροποιημένες γνώσεις σχετικά με την πρόληψη και τον εντοπισμό της εμπορίας ανθρώπων μέσω μιας προσέγγισης ευαίσθητης ως προς το φύλο και το παιδί.

Αρμοδιότητες

  • Χαρτογράφηση της τρέχουσας κατάστασης στο δίκτυο για την προστασία των ομάδων θυμάτων εμπορίας ανθρώπων
  • Κινητοποίηση των μονάδων ψυχοκοινωνικής παρέμβασης
  • Επικαιροποίηση των σχετικών εργαλείων κατάρτισης
  • Σύνταξη ή επικαιροποίηση των διαδικασιών λειτουργίας

Προσόντα

Απαραίτητα

  • Πανεπιστημιακό πτυχίο (κατά προτίμηση μεταπτυχιακό) από αναγνωρισμένο ακαδημαϊκό ίδρυμα, σε κοινωνικές επιστήμες (Κοινωνική Εργασία, Δίκαιο, Κοινωνιολογία, Κοινωνική Ανθρωπολογία, Ψυχολογία)
  • Τουλάχιστον διετής εμπειρία σε σχετικό τομέα σε έργα που εξυπηρετούν ευάλωτες ομάδες, ιδίως θύματα εμπορίας ανθρώπων, πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες
  • Προηγούμενη εμπειρία σε θέματα ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων/προστασίας, ιδίως ευάλωτων κοινωνικών ομάδων
  • Συνειδητοποίηση και ικανότητα εργασίας με θύματα εμπορίας ανθρώπων και επιζώντες έμφυλης βίας, καθώς και των ευαισθησιών και των μέτρων εμπιστευτικότητας που αυτό συνεπάγεται
  • Άριστες διαπροσωπικές, ομαδικές και επικοινωνιακές δεξιότητες
  • Ικανότητα οργάνωσης και ιεράρχησης του φόρτου εργασίας με τη χρήση πρωτοβουλίας όταν χρειάζεται,
