INtegration: Through school into community
This project is jointly implemented by SolidarityNow, the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Citizens and Institutional Protection and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with the aim to promote the integration of refugees/migrants. The project aims towards integration through a holistic framework for refugee and migrant children, parents and young people, including unaccompanied and formerly unaccompanied minors transitioning to adulthood, providing education services and access to the labor market and independent living.
Partners of the project will create and implement educational tools, will conduct training to educators and promote integration through language learning (Greek and English). In addition, training for frontline professionals (teachers and staff working with unaccompanied minors) will be organized to promote access to the labor market and independent living. Finally, the project will conduct targeted field research on school dropout, while exploring the extent to which language learning can help reduce negative indicators.
