In this report the Ombudsman reflects the actions taken, the data gathered and his observations and findings on the situation of children on the move in the second half of 2016. The data and conclusions are grouped together in four key chapters, where the observations and findings of the Ombudsman are documented. These concern (a) the identification and registration of the children’s population (b) the access of children to international protection (asylum, family reunification, resettlement); (c) the living conditions of children and their access to basic goods and services; (d) more specific issues concerning unaccompanied children. Solidarity Now works with the Ombudsman to develop common advocacy actions through the Children’s Rights Network.
