REWIP- Refugee Empowerment and Work Integration Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\nThe REWIP<\/strong> program was funded by the European Union to support young migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers (aged 18\u201330) arriving in a new EU country who wish to take their first steps toward employment and social integration. <\/span>REWIP achieved its goals by facilitating volunteering opportunities<\/strong> and providing mentoring<\/strong> for young migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Participants could volunteer in a local organization for a limited time, learn a new profession, develop skills, and work closely with a professional mentor to guide them in their career journey.<\/span><\/p>\nThe program was implemented by the University of Piraeus, in collaboration with Stimmuli, SolidarityNow, Ethelon, NewBees, and CESIE.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nRefugees WelComB!<\/span><\/h3>\nSolidarityNow participated in the Refugees WelComB! program, funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. WelComB! was a Strategic Partnership involving seven organizations from seven countries. The program ran for 16 months<\/strong> and was implemented by the following partners: Kontakte f\u00fcr Europa e.V. (Germany), SolidarityNow (Greece), Artemisszio Alapitvany (Hungary), Associazione InformaGiovani (Italy), Madrid for Refugees (Spain), Ocean Whale (Bulgaria), and TC Buca Kaymakamligi (Turkey).<\/span><\/p>\nThe aim of WelComB! was to explore the needs of refugees in the context of social and professional integration and to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation in this field. <\/span><\/strong>As part of the Strategic Partnership, two surveys were conducted across the seven countries. The results, along with integration recommendations from the participating countries, were analyzed and promoted as good practices for refugee inclusion.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
\nResilient Roots Initiative<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\nSolidarityNow implemented the pilot accountability program \u201cThe Resilient Roots Initiative\u201d<\/strong>, coordinated by the CIVICUS network in partnership with Keystone Accountability and Accountable Now. The program aimed to strengthen communication and interaction channels between SolidarityNow\u2019s management and its beneficiaries.<\/span><\/p>\nA total of 60 young beneficiaries, <\/strong>including former unaccompanied minors, LGBTQ+ individuals, and women, from Athens and Thessaloniki participated in a series of activities, such as photography and radio workshops<\/strong>, feedback exercises<\/strong> (individual interviews, group meetings, satisfaction surveys), and monthly meetings.<\/span><\/p>\nProgram duration: July 2018 \u2013 August 2019<\/span>

\n\u201cMigrant & Youth Social Inclusion Through Entrepreneurship\u201d_#MySite<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\nSolidarityNow participated in a coalition of five organizations from Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, and Malta to promote youth entrepreneurship as a tool for social integration.<\/strong> The program, \u201cSocial Integration of Migrants and Youth through Entrepreneurship,\u201d aimed to highlight entrepreneurship<\/strong> as a means for the harmonious social inclusion of young people. Beneficiaries included third-country nationals (migrants and\/or refugees) as well as young Greeks interested in entering the entrepreneurial sector.<\/span><\/p>\nAs part of the program, a study on the entrepreneurial landscape and existing support mechanisms for youth and migrant entrepreneurship was conducted in each participating country.<\/strong> Additionally, 20 young participants received training<\/strong> in core entrepreneurship skills, along with one-on-one mentoring from experienced entrepreneurs.<\/span><\/p>\nProgram duration: 18 months<\/span>
