Driven by this shared commitment, <strong>SolidarityNow<\/strong> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/kaizen-foundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Kaizen Foundation<\/strong><\/a> have launched the <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Equalising Education<\/strong><\/em><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>initiative, designed to reduce educational inequalities and ensure that children from vulnerable households have access to high-quality learning opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Implemented at the <strong>Athens Solidarity Centre<\/strong>, the program will provide one year of structured educational support to children <strong>aged 9\u201317<\/strong>, helping them overcome learning gaps, strengthen their academic performance, and participate in school on an equal footing with their peers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experienced educators will provide a comprehensive package of educational services, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">remedial classes in core school subjects to bridge learning gaps;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">homework support;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">preparation for school exams.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Beyond academic achievement, the program follows SolidarityNow&#8217;s child-centered approach, combining educational support with the development of essential life skills. Through activity, and project-based learning, children will strengthen their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and self-confidence, while improving their social and emotional wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Families will play an integral role throughout the program. They will receive regular updates on their children&#8217;s progress and will be supported in communicating effectively with schools, helping to strengthen school engagement and reduce the risk of early school leaving.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During the school year, afternoon classes will combine homework support with exam preparation. Throughout the summer, morning classes will help students consolidate their knowledge and prepare for the next academic year, enabling them to return to school with greater confidence and readiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <strong>Kaizen Foundation&#8217;s<\/strong> support will significantly expand the number of children supported in education by the Athens Solidarity Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By addressing structural barriers to education, <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em><strong>Equalising Education<\/strong><\/em><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>aims to promote equal access to learning, reduce the risk of school dropout and create better opportunities for children to pursue higher education, meaningful employment and brighter futures.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SolidarityNow and Kaizen Foundation join forces to promote equal access to education Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.
