{"id":10369,"date":"2021-05-11T08:33:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-11T08:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=10369"},"modified":"2021-05-11T08:33:00","modified_gmt":"2021-05-11T08:33:00","slug":"english-farsi-dari-and-urdu-interpreter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/english-farsi-dari-and-urdu-interpreter\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]FARSI, DARI AND URDU INTERPRETER[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Date:<strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Status:<strong>\u00a0 Full Time (morning or evening shift)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 \u2013 The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary: <\/strong>Interpreter is expected to ensure mediation and interpretation from and to beneficiaries of Athens Solidarity Center Social, Legal, employability counselling\/psychologist or Reception Service and within the function of complementarity Services (Accountancy Support) In addition, should be able to contribute to the identification of most vulnerable in cooperation with Professional Aid Workers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intercultural Mediation -Interpretation<\/li>\n<li>Mediate with beneficiaries while briefings or sessions are conducted<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and precise information is passed to the beneficiaries in an understandable and culturally acceptable way<\/li>\n<li>Data base and Case related info management<\/li>\n<li>Filling and registering all cases and actions to the DataBase upon instructions of the supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Maintain hard and electronic files archive updated<\/li>\n<li>Perform entries in the data base system as required by the above<\/li>\n<li>Mentioned tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Duties <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in Field Trips and Assessments as requested and directed by Supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Brief and debrief beneficiaries for running programs availability and inform for any relevant change<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate their access to available aid<\/li>\n<li>Accompany team members in occasional field visits \/FU visits to houses of beneficiaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications-Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in Farsi\/Dari and Urdu<\/li>\n<li>Previous Experience in Relevant Position<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Refugee and Migration Issues (Asylum processes, Relocation \u2013new Law)<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Greek or English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field Working Experience entry points, Camps\/Temporary Settlement or mobile units serving refugee population<\/li>\n<li>Proven Engagement in Refugee Focused Projects (e.g Assessments, Surveys, Missions in Islands or to the borders)<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Pashto<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit in a single document their Resume\/CV with an introductory text in English to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\u00a0\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org\u00a0<\/a>by <strong><u>May 31<sup>st<\/sup> \u00a0, 2021<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cFarsi Interpreter_Athens\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
