{"id":10459,"date":"2021-06-01T14:44:22","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T14:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=10459"},"modified":"2021-06-01T14:44:22","modified_gmt":"2021-06-01T14:44:22","slug":"english-social-scientist-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/english-social-scientist-8\/","title":{"rendered":"[:en]SOCIAL SCIENTIST[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 \u2013 <\/strong>The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: <\/strong>BRC Coordinator<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Social Services Provision<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide comprehensive package of Social Services to beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Assess needs of beneficiaries and develop an intervention\/pathway plan ensuring.<\/li>\n<li>Special needs of most vulnerable are identified and addressed<\/li>\n<li>Provide adequate information on available services and relevant procedures<\/li>\n<li>Provide comprehensive package of Social Services to the beneficiaries in (and if requested out) of SolidarityNow Premises<\/li>\n<li>Providing F2F Counseling, Guidance<\/li>\n<li>Ensure referrals internally and externally and follow up on referrals whilst always respecting confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Identify particularly vulnerable individuals\/groups and facilitate their access to available aid<\/li>\n<li>Perform occasional field visits \/FU visits to houses of beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Able to manage Sexual-Gender Based (SGBV) cases and cooperate with competent authorities and professionals (doctors, public prosecutor) in managing such cases.<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in efficient handling of Trafficking Victims<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong>Data base and Case related info management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brief and full social history taking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>\u00a0Other Duties<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with other actors in the area (public sector, NGOs and INGOs) to link the beneficiaries with the services needed<\/li>\n<li>Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive case plan for beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Organize group activities for beneficiaries aiming to their empowerment<\/li>\n<li>Promote community engagement through structured activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in <strong>Social Work<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Permission of Work<\/li>\n<li>Experience in social work within the civil society sector, preferably working with vulnerable groups and refugees\/migrants<\/li>\n<li>3 years\u2019 experience in relevant position (at least 2 years in Social Service and project serving refugees and migrants population)<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Refugee and Migration Issues<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Native in Greek<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English (both written and spoken)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field work experience, e.g. in camps or temporary settlements<\/li>\n<li>Interest and experience to work with vulnerable groups<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Arabic, French or Farsi will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cSocial scientist _BRC_ Thessaloniki\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
