{"id":10780,"date":"2021-09-21T12:37:23","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T12:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=10780"},"modified":"2021-09-21T12:37:23","modified_gmt":"2021-09-21T12:37:23","slug":"adults-greek-teacher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/adults-greek-teacher\/","title":{"rendered":"ADULTS GREEK TEACHER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 2 \u2013 <\/strong>The job holder will have sporadic contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: <\/strong>Blue Refugee Center (BRC) Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implements\u00a0<strong>Greek language classes<\/strong>\u00a0per the student population needs<\/li>\n<li>Expands and builds on the existing educational curriculum, targeting and addressing the needs of the student population<\/li>\n<li>Provides homework support for those who attend formal education<\/li>\n<li>Oversees distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintains effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Ensures on-going monitoring, tracking, and reporting of classes<\/li>\n<li>Develops and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Supports education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitates access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Excellent Greek and English\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in Greek Literature<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation, and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for vulnerable communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching Greek as a foreign language<\/li>\n<li>Experience engaging with adults and communities in order to improve attendance and address students\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and education<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of French, Arabic or Farsi will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>Adults Greek Teacher<\/strong><strong> _BRC_ Thessaloniki\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
