{"id":11110,"date":"2021-12-22T11:34:52","date_gmt":"2021-12-22T11:34:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11110"},"modified":"2021-12-22T11:34:52","modified_gmt":"2021-12-22T11:34:52","slug":"accounting-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/accounting-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Date:<strong> ASAP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Status:<strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Child Safeguarding Policy:<strong> Level 1 &#8211; The job holder does not have contact with children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs accounting entries, update ledgers and reconcile accounts<\/li>\n<li>Supports the preparation and coordination of the audit process, as well as, the internal financial controls and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Ensures all assigned reconciliations are prepared and reviewed accurately<\/li>\n<li>Communicates on a regular basis with vendors, reconciling accounts and following up on payments<\/li>\n<li>Supports month-end and year-end process and financial reports<\/li>\n<li>Participates in audits by donors and\/or chartered accountants<\/li>\n<li>Assists in budgeting<\/li>\n<li>Carries out the monthly payroll and registers the payroll account entries<\/li>\n<li>Ensures all payroll procedures are performed accurately and timely<\/li>\n<li>Allocates salary costs to the respective cost centers<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with the Greek Labor and Insurance Legislation<\/li>\n<li>Ad hoc requests, as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Qualifications <\/strong><strong>and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Navision and Pylon will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Greek GAAP (IFRS would be a plus)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of ERGANI<\/li>\n<li>Excellent use of MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English, both oral and written<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, multitask<\/li>\n<li>Able to perform under pressure and deliver results<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to challenge processes and implement improved working methods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit in a single document their Resume\/CV with an introductory text in English to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cAccounting Officer\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
