{"id":11148,"date":"2022-01-04T12:33:25","date_gmt":"2022-01-04T12:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11148"},"modified":"2022-01-04T12:33:25","modified_gmt":"2022-01-04T12:33:25","slug":"senior-employability-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/senior-employability-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"SENIOR EMPLOYABILITY OFFICER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 2 \u2013 <\/strong>The job holder will have sporadic contact with children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: Project Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervises and provides guidance to a team of employability consultants.<\/li>\n<li>Organizes and coordinates employability activities (focus groups, counselling sessions, presentations)<\/li>\n<li>Manages a diverse portfolio of cases to employment, job matching and career management service.<\/li>\n<li>Provides information, advice and guidance to the POCs (refugees, migrants) on key knowledge areas including; CVs, Job searching, Interview skills Coaching and Training\/Education, to enhance current and future employability.<\/li>\n<li>Analyzes and understands current employment context and related opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Uses labor market information to research and build additional relationships with employers, creating further employment opportunities appropriate to the needs of the POCs (refugees, migrants) base.<\/li>\n<li>Job matches POCs (refugees, migrants) with vacancies and opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Carries out detailed job analysis to understand and guide on reasonable adjustments to maximize the likelihood of successful and sustainable employment services and encourages appropriate referrals.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a record system, case notes and other electronic files to a high standard to ensure high quality standards.<\/li>\n<li>Compiles reports for the progress of the provided services and identifies the characteristics which have to be improved in order to achieve a holistic approach on employability counselling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience as employability coordinator<\/li>\n<li>Excellent case management skills to deliver a quality service to a large total caseload<\/li>\n<li>Well organized, structured, and self-disciplined, with excellent time-management skills<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment experience will be considered as an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Very strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good networking and relationship management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of the employability market<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education in the career counselling, social service and\/or human service-related field<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience providing career and employment-based case-managed services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience on coordination of projects, teams, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of employment support for refugees and people with disabilities (physical and\/or mental health)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of Greek Employment Law as it relates to this type of service and role<\/li>\n<li>Experience with NGO environment practices<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with MS Office<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of French will be an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cSenior Employability Officer\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
