{"id":11533,"date":"2022-04-01T13:41:25","date_gmt":"2022-04-01T13:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11533"},"modified":"2022-04-01T13:41:25","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T13:41:25","slug":"mother-toddler-space-facilitator-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/mother-toddler-space-facilitator-2\/","title":{"rendered":"MOTHER &#038; TODDLER SPACE FACILITATOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Part-Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 3 \u2013 The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The \u039c&amp;\u03a4 Facilitator provides educational activities and creatively engages toddlers (0-2 years old) during the M&amp;T Integration Course. \u00a0M&amp;T stands for \u00abMothers and Toddlers\u00bb and is a class that derives from the need to include beneficiaries of the HELIOS program unable to attend language classes due to their children\u2019s age and needs. The basic goal of the program is to ensure the learning of the Greek language to the mothers whilst caregiving for the toddlers. As both activities take place in the same space, the M&amp;T facilitator should encourage interaction between Mothers and Toddlers and design activities harmonized with the developmental stage of the specific age group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure a safe and child-friendly atmosphere for the toddlers, who visit ILC with their parents<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a variety of games and activities within the classroom, catering to the needs of children aged between 0 and 2 years and respecting their gender, abilities, and cultural background.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that children feel comfortable, safe, and respected<\/li>\n<li>Liaise\u00a0with\u00a0parents\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0community\u00a0regularly\u00a0to\u00a0keep\u00a0them\u00a0informed\u00a0of any developments or problems within the M&amp;T Space and surrounding areas<\/li>\n<li>Screen for and monitor protection needs and gaps in and around the Child-Friendly Space<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that recreational activities are consistent with program guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Perform administrative procedures related to the activities in the M&amp;T<\/li>\n<li>Reporting of activities, observations, and feedback from the beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Other tasks as requested by her\/his line manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree\/Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Infant Care, or relevant field<\/li>\n<li>Working experience with toddlers (aged between 0-2) and children 5-12<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English.
