{"id":11592,"date":"2022-04-14T08:00:55","date_gmt":"2022-04-14T08:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11592"},"modified":"2022-04-14T08:00:55","modified_gmt":"2022-04-14T08:00:55","slug":"female-friendly-space-interpreter-farsi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/female-friendly-space-interpreter-farsi\/","title":{"rendered":"FEMALE FRIENDLY SPACE INTERPRETER (FARSI)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full\/Part Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 3 \u2013 The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during FFS activities;<\/li>\n<li>Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during protection related informative sessions, briefings, trainings etc;<\/li>\n<li>Provides written translation of documents to English or Greek;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, contributes to the identification of particular vulnerabilities and other protection-related issues;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, assists in the accompaniment of particularly vulnerable individuals to other service providers;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, participates in field-trips and other external activities;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, ensures that all beneficiaries feel comfortable and safe to share their concerns freely, as well as participate in activities;<\/li>\n<li>Respects the code of conduct of the organization, with emphasis on confidentiality;<\/li>\n<li>Performs other position-related duties as assigned by the respective Team Leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\u2013Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent command of\u00a0<strong>Farsi\/Dari<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of Greek and\/or English;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum one-year professional experience as an interpreter or cultural mediator and\/or in providing supporting services to vulnerable individuals, including refugee population and particularly children and women;<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with protection issues related to refugee children, families and female survivors of gender-based violence;<\/li>\n<li>High professional ethics;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with children of all ages, background and diversity;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in multi-ethnic environment; Cross Culturally Aware and flexible;<\/li>\n<li>Strong team player;<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate;<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient, flexible, able to handle pressure well and adapt in different working environments;<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to and promote Child Protection and Child Safeguarding guiding principles;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous working experience with local or international NGOs will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<li>Field Working Experience in Camps\/Temporary Settlements of refugee\/migrant population<\/li>\n<li>Women candidates will be prioritized because of the nature of the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cInterpreter Farsi_ Diavata\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
