{"id":11661,"date":"2022-05-03T14:53:04","date_gmt":"2022-05-03T14:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11661"},"modified":"2022-05-03T14:53:47","modified_gmt":"2022-05-03T14:53:47","slug":"accounting-and-reporting-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/accounting-and-reporting-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting and Reporting Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Date:<strong> ASAP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Status:<strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Child Safeguarding Policy:<strong> Level 1 &#8211; The job holder does not have contact with children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As an Accounting and Reporting Officer your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure<\/li>\n<li>Perform accounting entries, update ledgers, and reconcile accounts such as suppliers and bank accounts<\/li>\n<li>Review the expenses and the payroll records as assigned during the reporting process.<\/li>\n<li>Perform monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities in a timely and accurate manner<\/li>\n<li>Register the supplier invoices, expense reports, payments and fixed assets and depreciation<\/li>\n<li>Upload the expense invoices on My-Data platform<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and Submit the Financial Reports &amp; Documentation whenever is requested by Project Guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Perform checks in contracts connected to program and projects, whenever needed.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and explain variances between budgets and actuals<\/li>\n<li>Support and participate in various auditing related activities to ensure proper controls and compliance with SN policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate for the Accounting and Reporting Officer position will need to possess the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting and\/or Finance<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with ERP (Navision experience preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the NGO sector and\/or European Programs, budgeting, and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Greek GAAP (IFRS would be a plus)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent use of MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English, both oral and written<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and strong organizational skills, able to perform under pressure and deliver results.
