{"id":11798,"date":"2022-06-27T12:21:20","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T12:21:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11798"},"modified":"2022-06-27T12:21:20","modified_gmt":"2022-06-27T12:21:20","slug":"social-scientist-educator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/social-scientist-educator\/","title":{"rendered":"SOCIAL SCIENTIST \/EDUCATOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 \u2013 <\/strong>The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: <\/strong>Area Project Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kleidi<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement\u00a0<strong>language <\/strong>classes\u00a0per the refugee population needs<\/li>\n<li>Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum, targeting and addressing the needs of different age groups of children, and teenagers<\/li>\n<li>Provide homework support for the children who attend formal education<\/li>\n<li>Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of classes<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Promachonas<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support educational, recreational and various activities for the incoming, through the borders, population<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of activities<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications &amp; skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in Education,Social Work, Social Sciences;<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience engaging with parents and communities in order to improve attendance and address students\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English required;<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word business software;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field work experience, e.g. in camps or temporary settlements<\/li>\n<li>Interest and experience to work with vulnerable groups<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Ukrainian, Arabic, Farsi is an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cSocial scientist\/Educator_Kleidi\/Promahonas-Serres\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
