{"id":11892,"date":"2022-07-15T08:47:58","date_gmt":"2022-07-15T08:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=11892"},"modified":"2022-08-09T12:41:57","modified_gmt":"2022-08-09T12:41:57","slug":"programme-officer-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/programme-officer-2\/","title":{"rendered":"PROGRAMME OFFICER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position:<\/strong>\u00a0Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy:\u00a0<\/strong>Level 1 \u2013 The job holder does not have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Programmes Department<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Programs Department lies at the heart of the organisation\u2019s work and carries out work, across sector areas, aligned with the organisation\u2019s strategic priorities: a) Safety and protection, b) Catalysing livelihoods opportunities, c) Strengthening the independence of civil society.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, the Department is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>the implementation and monitoring of projects;<\/li>\n<li>project design (including identification of funding opportunities and preparation of concept notes and project proposals); and<\/li>\n<li>developing and managing partnerships;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and designing new projects \u2013 through the preparation of concept notes, project proposals and log frames.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating project implementation for, inter alia, EU funded projects.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and managing project budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Building partnerships for funding applications and to develop project synergies.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with donors regularly to develop programmes and report on those implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly communicating with other organisations, public authorities, grassroots organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out administrative actions relating to the implementation of projects.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and reviewing financial and other documentation to support audits.<\/li>\n<li>Leading the project opening and closure (evaluation) process<\/li>\n<li>Preparing internal and external reports<\/li>\n<li>Representing the organisation nationally and internationally in relevant I including regular working groups and thematic conferences<\/li>\n<li>Managing project data (in collaboration with Monitoring &amp; Evaluation Manager)<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with other departments within the organisation as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements \/\u00a0Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in relevant field (i.e., Humanities, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Law or relevant field)<\/li>\n<li>Sound programmatic knowledge of any of the following priority areas will be highly appreciated: Migration, Education, Youth, Employment, Unaccompanied Minors<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge and experience of NGO humanitarian\/development program cycle management and experience of working within a complex organisational structure<\/li>\n<li>Project management skills regarding development, staffing, budgeting and scheduling<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Greek and international humanitarian systems, institutions, donors and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize and plan<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take on new initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English, proficiency in other languages desirable<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cProgramme Officer\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
