{"id":12328,"date":"2022-10-11T10:23:05","date_gmt":"2022-10-11T10:23:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=12328"},"modified":"2022-10-11T10:23:05","modified_gmt":"2022-10-11T10:23:05","slug":"educator-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/educator-2\/","title":{"rendered":"EDUCATOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 2 \u2013 <\/strong>The job holder will have sporadic contact with children<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Reports To<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>ILC Coordinator<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides Greek language classes for adult beneficiaries of international protection residing in urban areas<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with other teachers and contributes to the creation of educational materials related to the integration of beneficiaries of international protection.<\/li>\n<li>Creates materials for classes (lesson plans) and monitors the progress of students<\/li>\n<li>Oversees distributions of teaching and learning materials according to the beneficiaries\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Ensures on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of classes<\/li>\n<li>Develops and maintains effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Supports soft skills education and implementation of outdoor activities linked to the curriculum of the program<\/li>\n<li>Prepares the project beneficiaries for the Greek language examinations targeted at the certification of different levels of proficiency in the use of the Greek language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Excellent Greek and English\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in Greek Literature<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation, and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for vulnerable communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching Greek as a foreign language<\/li>\n<li>Experience engaging with adults and communities in order to improve attendance and address students\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and education<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of French, Arabic or Farsi will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>Educator<\/strong><strong> _Ioannina\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
