{"id":12531,"date":"2022-12-13T14:05:55","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T14:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=12531"},"modified":"2022-12-13T14:12:48","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T14:12:48","slug":"arabic-french-interpreter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/arabic-french-interpreter\/","title":{"rendered":"Arabic &#038; French Interpreter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Status:<\/strong> Full\/Part Time (morning or evening shift)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong>: Interpreter is expected to ensure mediation and interpretation from and to beneficiaries of Athens Solidarity Center Social \/Legal\/counselling or Reception Service and within the function of complementarity Services (Accountancy Support) In addition, should be able to contribute to the identification of most vulnerable in cooperation with Professional Aid Workers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position within the Organization: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hierarchical Responsible: ASC Reception Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Intercultural Mediation -Interpretation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mediate with beneficiaries while briefings or sessions are conducted<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and precise information is passed to the beneficiaries in an understandable and culturally acceptable way<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>Data base and Case related info management<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Filling and registering all appointments to the DataBase upon instructions of the supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Maintain hard and electronic files archive updated<\/li>\n<li>Perform entries in the data base system as required by the above<\/li>\n<li>Mentioned tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Other Duties <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in Field Trips and Assessments as requested and directed by Supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Brief and debrief beneficiaries for running programs availability and inform for any relevant change<\/li>\n<li>Accompany team members in occasional field visits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Essential<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in French and Arabic<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Greek or English<\/li>\n<li>Previous Experience in Relevant Position<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Refugee and Migration Issues (Asylum processes, Relocation \u2013new Law)<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field Working Experience entry points, Camps\/Temporary Settlement or mobile units serving refugee population<\/li>\n<li>Proven Engagement in Refugee Focused Projects (e.g Assessments, Surveys, Missions in Islands or to the borders)<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to: \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cArabic &amp; French Interpreter\u2019\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
