{"id":13525,"date":"2023-07-21T14:05:31","date_gmt":"2023-07-21T14:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=13525"},"modified":"2023-08-14T08:05:11","modified_gmt":"2023-08-14T08:05:11","slug":"athens-solidarity-center-asc-accountant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/athens-solidarity-center-asc-accountant\/","title":{"rendered":"ATHENS SOLIDARITY CENTER (ASC) ACCOUNTANT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy:<\/strong> Level 3 \u2013The job holder will have regular contact with children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:<\/strong> ASC Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Overview<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Provision of comprehensive accountancy support and guidance to vulnerable individuals.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provision of Accountancy Support and Guidance<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Sessions with beneficiaries requiring advice and support on basic accountancy issues.<\/li>\n<li>Guide beneficiaries for issuing Tax Related Certificates of Taxation Numbers Registration.<\/li>\n<li>Mediate with relevant authorities (in exceptional cases).<\/li>\n<li>Provide information about guidance to access welfare and other benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Support the completion of tax declarations.<\/li>\n<li>Data base and Case related info management<\/li>\n<li>Filling and registering information to ASC database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform entries in the database as required.<\/li>\n<li>Provide information to other SN staff about accountancy and benefits procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Inform Senior Management about contextual challenges and issues to be pursued with advocacy \/ policy actions.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out other relevant tasks as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Accountancy or extended experience (+ 3 Years) in an accountancy office.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Refugee and Migration Taxation Issues.<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate.<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Greek and English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cASC Accountant_ Athens\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
