{"id":13545,"date":"2023-07-21T14:24:59","date_gmt":"2023-07-21T14:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=13545"},"modified":"2023-07-24T13:15:48","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T13:15:48","slug":"athens-solidarity-center-asc-senior-psychologist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/athens-solidarity-center-asc-senior-psychologist\/","title":{"rendered":"ATHENS SOLIDARITY CENTER (ASC) SENIOR PSYCHOLOGIST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date: <\/strong>ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status: <\/strong>Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 3 \u2013 Job holder will have regular contact with children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: <\/strong>ASC Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Overview<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Senior Psychologist will lead the provision of quality psychological services at the ASC, supporting a diverse group of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Service Provision<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordination of ASC psychological service, ensuring quality, and responsive service provision.<\/li>\n<li>Complete psychological history intake and provision of individual psychological counselling (in person and remotely, if required).<\/li>\n<li>Establishing and leading group sessions, based on needs identified.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying vulnerabilities and facilitating their access to available support.<\/li>\n<li>Provide case management for child protection and SGBV cases and liaise with competent authorities and professionals as required.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of relevant documentation to support asylum and other processes as required by each beneficiary.<\/li>\n<li>Assessing effectiveness of service delivery and proposing changes for its improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Close collaboration with other ASC services to respond to holistic needs of each individual.<\/li>\n<li>External referrals to psychiatrists as required by each beneficiary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Tasks <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparation of internal reports and collection and uploading of information in ASC database.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure smooth cooperation and collaboration with other psychological services, both within SolidarityNow and with other organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Represent ASC and SN in relevant working groups, national and international fora.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and carry out annual evaluations with ASC Psychologists.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with SN Advocacy Manager for the design and implementation of effective advocacy and policy actions to improve the situation for programme beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Provide contextual updates and challenges to Senior Management.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, related to job description as requested by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree (preferably Master\u2019s) from an accredited academic institution, in Psychology, as well as Psychologist Permission of Work.<\/li>\n<li>More than 5 years of experience in a similar position, providing psychological support to vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in Child Protection cases and supporting survivors of Gender-based Violence<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality and understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys and girls.<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate.<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English and Greek (both written and spoken).<\/li>\n<li>Proven management experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cASC Senior Psychologist_ Athens\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
