{"id":13547,"date":"2023-07-21T14:27:32","date_gmt":"2023-07-21T14:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=13547"},"modified":"2023-07-24T13:16:36","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T13:16:36","slug":"athens-solidarity-center-asc-senior-social-worker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/athens-solidarity-center-asc-senior-social-worker\/","title":{"rendered":"ATHENS SOLIDARITY CENTER (ASC) SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status: <\/strong>Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 3 \u2013 Job holder will have regular contact with children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: <\/strong>ASC Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Overview<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Senior Social worker is responsible for organizing, supervising and leading the provision of quality and comprehensive social services to vulnerable individuals within the Athens Solidarity Centre.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Service Provision<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate the smooth functioning of the ASC Social Services, ensuring quality, and responsive service provision.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a comprehensive package of social services to ASC beneficiaries (in person and remotely)<\/li>\n<li>Provide case management for child protection and SGBV cases and liaise with competent authorities and professionals as required.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of relevant documentation to support asylum and other processes as required by each beneficiary.<\/li>\n<li>Assessing effectiveness of service delivery and proposing changes for its improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Close collaboration with other ASC services to respond to holistic needs of each individual.<\/li>\n<li>External referrals and access facilitation for (amongst others) welfare and medical services.<\/li>\n<li>Accompaniment for particularly vulnerable cases (children, pregnancies etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparation of internal reports and collection and uploading of information in ASC database.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure smooth cooperation and collaboration with other services, both within SolidarityNow and with other organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Support outreach efforts and the establishment of partnerships with other actors.<\/li>\n<li>Represent ASC and SN in relevant working groups, national and international fora.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with SN Advocacy Manager for the design and implementation of effective advocacy and policy actions to improve the situation for programme beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Provide contextual updates and challenges to Senior Management.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and carry out annual evaluations with ASC Social Workers.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, related to job description as requested by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree (preferably Master\u2019s) from an accredited academic institution, in Social Work Degree, as well as Social Worker Permission of Work.<\/li>\n<li>Extended experience in similar position, supporting vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n<li>Proven coordination experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\/awareness of providing support to children and survivors of Gender-based Violence (GBV)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality and understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys and girls.<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate.<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English and Greek (both written and spoken).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cASC Senior Social Worker_ Athens\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
