The lawyer will need to be familiarized with the legal framework of trafficking in human beings, especially migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and be available for regular local travel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct legal aid: provide legal information and advice individually or in groups;<\/li>\n<li>Legal representation in court proceedings when necessary;<\/li>\n<li>Referrals: map needs, gaps and other services; refer cases to other entities as appropriate and by providing rigorous follow-up, ensure that these cases proceed towards resolution;<\/li>\n<li>Case management: resolve problems through mediation or other informal dispute resolution mechanisms, where appropriate; intervene with a wide range of activities that vary from information provision to court representation;<\/li>\n<li>Narrative report writing;<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration with other professionals (interpreters, social scientists, psychologists) for the benefit of the individual supported;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records of all activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Essential<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum three years of experience in practicing law (at least 6 months in project serving refugees and migrants population)<\/li>\n<li>Lawyers Permission of Work<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of the following areas of Greek law: asylum, family, and administrative law, as well as law on trafficking in human beings<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of administrative and criminal law is desired<\/li>\n<li>Legal analysis: ability to identify and address legal issues for advice and representation<\/li>\n<li>Substantial experience of advising and representing individuals with some vulnerability on a professional or voluntary basis<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience of human rights\/protection work, especially of vulnerable social groups, is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Awareness and ability to work with victims of trafficking and survivors of Gender-based Violence and the sensitivities and confidentiality measures that this involves.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to adjust communication skills according to the age of the beneficiary<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal, teamworking &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Desired<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous work within an NGO context is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in French or other language will be highly appreciated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cLAWYER_Athens or Thessaloniki_PROCAP\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
