{"id":14401,"date":"2024-03-01T13:08:07","date_gmt":"2024-03-01T13:08:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=14401"},"modified":"2024-03-07T09:40:14","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T09:40:14","slug":"head-of-programmes-maternity-cover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/head-of-programmes-maternity-cover\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Programmes \u2013 Maternity Cover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong> April<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status: <\/strong>Full Time\/Fixed term (Maternity Cover)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Refers to:<\/strong> General Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 1 \u2013 The job holder does not have regular contact with children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><u>Project Management &amp; Implementation<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinating projects across thematic areas (education, livelihoods, protection, and access to justice) ensuring quality of interventions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseeing projects throughout the project management cycle, working closely with Project Coordinators to ensure impact, identify areas for improvement and initiate communication between departments.<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with Project Coordinators, ensure that project implementation is timely, on target and on budget.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support to the implementation teams and ensure that implementation is standardised across teams and geographical locations.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct frequent visits to the various programme sites to support field teams.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage critical reflection, innovation and culture of learning so that programme activities are constantly adjusted to better respond to the needs of beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish close communication lines with donors to facilitate implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing internal and external reports.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and reviewing financial and other documentation to support audits.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out administrative actions relating to the implementation of projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><u>Programme Development<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading the development of quality project proposals, concept notes, budgets, and log-frames to strengthen and expand programmes and support fundraising efforts in line with the organisational strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and managing consortiums for the design of EU-funded projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifying new funding opportunities from EU, national and private sources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em><u>Partnerships and Representation<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and maintaining partnerships (private, public and third sector) to expand and strengthen programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Representing the organisation nationally and internationally in meetings, working groups and conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly communicating with other organizations, public authorities, grassroots organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements \/\u00a0Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in a humanitarian\/ development context, including significant field experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in relevant field (i.e., Humanities, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Law) or equivalent experience.<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding project management and organisational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge and experience of NGO humanitarian\/development program cycle management.<\/li>\n<li>Sound programmatic knowledge of one or more of the following priority areas will be highly appreciated: Migration, Education, Protection, Employment.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Greek and international humanitarian systems, institutions, donors, and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing and presentation skills in Greek and English<\/li>\n<li>Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proven Leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize and plan activities and actions.<\/li>\n<li>Solution-driven with ability to take on new initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English, proficiency in other languages desirable<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject \u201c<strong>Head of Programmes _ Athens HQs<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
