{"id":15764,"date":"2024-12-31T12:54:09","date_gmt":"2024-12-31T12:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=15764"},"modified":"2025-01-10T13:12:31","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T13:12:31","slug":"support-it-technical-officer-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/support-it-technical-officer-2\/","title":{"rendered":"SUPPORT IT TECHNICAL OFFICER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Senior Programmes and Operations Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 1 \u2013 The job holder does not have regular contact with children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User support (PCs, printers, scanners, Office 2016, web browsers, Windows 10, Office 365,\u00a0email, Internet access)<\/li>\n<li>Installing\u00a0and configuring Windows 10 systems<\/li>\n<li>Installing\u00a0and configuring\u00a0Office 365 applications<\/li>\n<li>Take ownership of user\u2019s\u00a0issues reported and follow\u00a0problems through to resolution<\/li>\n<li>Document knowledge in the form of knowledge based tech notes and articles<\/li>\n<li>Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks<\/li>\n<li>Setting up new users\u2019 accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the roll-out of new applications<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults<\/li>\n<li>Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve user\u00a0issues<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance and inventory management of computer assets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A solid understanding of how software and operating systems work<\/li>\n<li>A solid understanding of how computer\u00a0networks work<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0knowledge of general computer\u00a0support issues<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge TCP\/IP and other networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalling,\u00a0routing, switching)<\/li>\n<li>Basic\u00a0knowledge of the two\u00a0network types (LAN, WAN) and related networking concepts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, and\u00a0Windows 10 Microsoft Dynamics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Soft skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact with users\u00a0to establish what the problem is and explain the solution<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well within a team<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize the\u00a0workload<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0user-facing skills<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0written and verbal communication skills, both in\u00a0Greek and English languages<\/li>\n<li>Able to explain technical problems<\/li>\n<li>A dedication to continually update knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Good at organizing and multitasking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong>: Diploma from a Technical Institution or School \u2013 Cisco certification will be a plus.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to: <a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong>Support IT Technical Officer_ Athens<strong>\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
