The position holder will also support the management of small-scale projects, and contribute to the organization\u2019s networking and outreach efforts, especially to support the operation of the Athens Solidarity Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Program development <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the development of project proposals across sector areas to diverse donors, especially in the areas of social protection &amp; cohesion, education, livelihoods, and access to justice.<\/li>\n<li>Perform needs assessments to identify programmatic gaps, and contribute creative ideas and input in relation to the organization\u2019s development.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out administrative actions related to the implementation of projects.<\/li>\n<li>Support with project management for smaller-scale interventions.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the project opening and closure (evaluation) process.<\/li>\n<li>Manage project data (in collaboration with Monitoring &amp; Evaluation Manager).<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with Athens Solidarity Center management:\n<ul>\n<li>liaise with SN partners, local organizations, service providers, volunteers, and other stakeholders to strengthen inter-agency coordination.<\/li>\n<li>identify, promote, and coordinate opportunities for collaboration with local communities and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>promote community development initiatives to ensure maximum participation of the target individuals and groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, related to job description, and as requested by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 year of relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Degree in relevant field (i.e., Humanities, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Law or relevant field); a related Master\u2019s degree will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of any of the following priority areas: social protection, education, youth engagement, employment, legal aid, migration &amp; asylum, integration of vulnerable social groups<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of NGO program cycle management, as well as project management skills will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong motivation to learn and evolve within the organization<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English, proficiency in other languages desirable<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word business software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>Junior Program Officer _ Athens\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
