{"id":16151,"date":"2025-03-18T12:13:54","date_gmt":"2025-03-18T12:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=16151"},"modified":"2025-03-18T12:13:54","modified_gmt":"2025-03-18T12:13:54","slug":"athens-solidarity-center-asc-reception-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/athens-solidarity-center-asc-reception-coordinator\/","title":{"rendered":"ATHENS SOLIDARITY CENTER (ASC) RECEPTION COORDINATOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting Date: ASAP<\/p>\n<p>Status: Full Time<\/p>\n<p>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3 \u2013 The job holder will have regular contact with children.<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: ASC Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcomes beneficiaries in a professional and friendly manner.<\/li>\n<li>Greet beneficiaries, sharing information about the ASC, the services provided, and the process required to access them.<\/li>\n<li>Provide information and referrals about complementary services provided outside the ASC.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the proper registration of beneficiaries in accordance with ASC operating system (issuing cards, managing database, ensuring GDPR process is adhered to).<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate scheduling of appointments, ensuring the prioritization of vulnerable cases.<\/li>\n<li>Responds to incoming calls, shares information, takes messages etc.<\/li>\n<li>Lead regular mapping of organizations supporting ASC beneficiary groups to assist referral process.<\/li>\n<li>Directly supervise the Reception Officer and ASC interpreters, including scheduling and performance evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with the ASC team, ensure that beneficiaries feel comfortable and safe to share their concerns freely.<\/li>\n<li>Respect the SN code of conduct, with an emphasis on confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Support the operationalization of the Complaints Response and Feedback Mechanism in collaboration with SN\u2019s Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Administrative and logistics tasks to support the daily operation of the ASC.<\/li>\n<li>Support the organisation of events and meetings at the ASC.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in internal coordination meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Take care or supplies related to reception.<\/li>\n<li>Handles all posted announcements as well as online info provision to beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor lending library system and internet corner.<\/li>\n<li>Other position-related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University or advanced education degree.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a similar role, preferably in NGOs, community centers, or service-oriented environments.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Greek and English (spoken and written); knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Arabic\/Farsi\/French\/Urdu) is a strong asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Key Skills<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \u2013 ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n<li>Strong crisis management and problem-solving abilities \u2013 remaining calm and effective in high-pressure situations.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle tense situations with diplomacy and sensitivity \u2013 de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills.<\/li>\n<li>Organizational and multitasking skills \u2013 managing a busy front desk, handling multiple inquiries, and coordinating services efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Empathy and cultural sensitivity \u2013 understanding the challenges faced by refugees, migrants, and other vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork and collaboration \u2013 ability to work closely with social workers, interpreters, and other staff.<\/li>\n<li>Basic IT skills \u2013 proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using case management systems (preferred).<\/li>\n<li>Confidentiality and professionalism \u2013 ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>\u201cASC Reception Coordinator_ Athens\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
