The role aims to establish a strong protection and support system for third-country nationals who are victims of human trafficking while promoting updated knowledge on trafficking prevention and identification through a gender-sensitive and child-sensitive approach.<\/p>\n<p>The Social Scientist will be responsible for organizing, supervising, and leading the provision of quality and comprehensive social services to vulnerable individuals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate the smooth functioning of the program, ensuring quality, and responsive service provision.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a comprehensive package of social services to beneficiaries (in person and remotely)<\/li>\n<li>Provide case management for victims or potential victims of human trafficking and liaise with competent authorities and professionals as required.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of relevant documentation to support asylum and other processes as required by each beneficiary.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of psychosocial reports for the support in legal representation acts, in collaboration with the lawyer of the team,<\/li>\n<li>Assessing effectiveness of service delivery and proposing changes for its improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Close collaboration with other SN Services or other external actors to respond to holistic needs of each individual.<\/li>\n<li>External referrals and access facilitation for (amongst others) welfare and medical services.<\/li>\n<li>Accompaniment for particularly vulnerable cases.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of internal reports and collection and uploading of information in Procap database.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure smooth cooperation and collaboration with other services, both within SolidarityNow and with other organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Support outreach efforts and the establishment of partnerships with other actors.<\/li>\n<li>Represent ProCap and SN in relevant working groups, national and international fora.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with SN Advocacy Manager for the design and implementation of effective advocacy and policy actions to improve the situation for programme beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, related to job description as requested by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree (preferably Master\u2019s) from an accredited academic institution, in Social Work Degree, as well as Social Worker Permission of Work.<\/li>\n<li>Extended experience in similar position, supporting vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n<li>Proven coordination experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience\/awareness of providing support to children and survivors of Gender-based Violence (GBV)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality and understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys and girls.<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate.<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English and Greek (both written and spoken).).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience working with NGOs is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the legal framework for victims of human trafficking.<\/li>\n<li>Previous employment in the field of trafficking victim protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your <strong>CV and motivation letter<\/strong> to <strong>recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/strong>, mentioning <strong>&#8220;Social Scientist_ Athens_PROCAP&#8221;<\/strong> in the email subject.<\/p>\n<p>SolidarityNow is an equal-opportunity employer.
