October 10th marks World Mental Health Day<\/strong>, a global reminder of the importance of mental well-being and the transformative power of support. At SolidarityNow<\/strong>, we believe that every person deserves access to care, compassion, and the opportunity to flourish.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cAccess to services<\/strong>–<\/strong>Mental health in catastrophes and emergencies,\u201d<\/strong> highlights the need to safeguard mental health even amidst global instability. Because it\u2019s not just homes that are lost in a disaster. It\u2019s also the sense of belonging, the feeling of safety, calm and stability.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this spirit, we are proud to share a series of videos featuring Eleni Panagiotakopoulou<\/strong>, Head of the Psychological Support and Counseling Service at the Athens Solidarity Center of SolidarityNow, who shares the stories of people who, despite the hardships they faced, found the right support, gained strength, and eventually stood on their own feet again, making a new start with courage and optimism. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs a psychological support service, we are here to help people rediscover their voice and regain their sense of safety,\u201d<\/em> says Eleni.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
