{"id":16952,"date":"2025-10-20T11:32:49","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T11:32:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=16952"},"modified":"2025-10-20T11:33:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T11:33:29","slug":"it-assistant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/it-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"IT ASSISTANT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time\/Fixed Term<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Senior Programmes and Operations Manager<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy: <\/strong>Level 1 \u2013 The job holder does not have regular contact with children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Generic responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">User support (PCs, printers, scanners, web browsers, Windows 10&amp;11, Office 365,\u00a0email, Internet access)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Installing\u00a0and configuring Windows 10&amp;11systems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Installing\u00a0and configuring\u00a0Office 365 applications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Take ownership of user\u2019s\u00a0issues reported and follow\u00a0problems through to resolution<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Document knowledge in the form of knowledge based tech notes and articles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Setting up new users\u2019 accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Supporting the roll-out of new applications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve user\u00a0issues<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maintenance and inventory management of computer assets<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A solid understanding of how software and operating systems work<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A solid understanding of how computer\u00a0networks work<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good\u00a0knowledge of general computer\u00a0support issues<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Basic knowledge TCP\/IP and other networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalling,\u00a0routing, switching)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Basic\u00a0knowledge of the two\u00a0network types (LAN, WAN) and related networking concepts<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Basic knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, and\u00a0Windows 10&amp;11 Microsoft Dynamics.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0Soft skills:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact with users\u00a0to establish what the problem is and explain the solution<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ability to work well within a team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good problem-solving skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ability to prioritize the\u00a0workload<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Excellent attention to detail<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good\u00a0user-facing skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good\u00a0written and verbal communication skills, both in\u00a0Greek and English languages<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Able to explain technical problems<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A dedication to continually update knowledge<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good at organizing and multitasking<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Background<\/strong>: Diploma from a Technical Institution or School \u2013 Cisco certification will be a plus.
