{"id":1704,"date":"2017-03-16T15:39:28","date_gmt":"2017-03-16T15:39:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=1704"},"modified":"2017-03-16T15:41:50","modified_gmt":"2017-03-16T15:41:50","slug":"lawyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/lawyer\/","title":{"rendered":"[:el]\u0394\u03b9\u03ba\u03b7\u03b3\u03cc\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2 [:en]Lawyer[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0 SN Lawyer \u2013 <\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u0394\u03b9\u03ba\u03b7\u03b3\u03cc\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong> Full Time (morning or evening shift)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Athens<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nResponsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><br \/>\nLegal Services Provision<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Provide individual counseling on e.g. the asylum procedure\/international protection\/refugee laws and individual rights follow up on cases regarding the European Relocation scheme, Family Reunification, and other cases that need legal assistance<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal assistance in administrative procedures regarding issuing of birth certificate, tax number, work permit and the like<\/li>\n<li>Handle the identified legal cases from the sites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake legal cases and legally represent to the court if necessary and depending on the availability of resources<\/li>\n<li>Ensure referrals internally and externally, and be in close collaboration with Athens Solidarity Center\u2019s legal team<\/li>\n<li>Identify vulnerabilities and facilitate their access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Reporting and Case related info management<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Filling and registering all cases and actions in relevant reports<\/li>\n<li>Brief and Full Social -Legal History taking<\/li>\n<li>Update the hard and electronic files per case<\/li>\n<li>Maintain hard and electronic files archive updated<\/li>\n<li>Prepare regular reports (i.e. weekly, monthly) and upon request<\/li>\n<li>Perform entries in the reporting system as required by the above mentioned tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Other Duties<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Collaborate with appointed persons and project managers of the Accommodation program.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Brief and debrief beneficiaries for running programs availability and inform for any relevant change<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, related to the basic Job Description as requested by the Supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Essential<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal Studies Degree<\/li>\n<li>Lawyers Permission of Work<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years working experience in practicing Law (at least 6 months in project serving refugees and migrants population)<\/li>\n<li>Cross Cultural Awareness and sensitiveness<\/li>\n<li>Awareness and ability to work with survivors of Gender-based Violence and the sensitivities and confidentiality measures that this involves.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal, team working &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality and understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys and girls<\/li>\n<li>High professional ethics, including strict confidentiality of clients<\/li>\n<li>Native in Greek<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English (both written and spoken)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specific Studies or Proven Engagement in Refugee Focused Projects (e.g Assessments, Surveys, Missions in Islands or to the borders)<\/li>\n<li>Previous working experience with local or international NGOs will be considered as a strong advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Interested Candidates shall submit in a single document their Resume\/CV with an intro Text (motivation) in English: <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\"><strong>recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Both the Document and the e mail shall have as title the Job title followed by their Surname:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>E.g LAYWER- GEORGIOU &#8211;
