The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><u>Main Responsibilities <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Financial Operations &amp; Accounting<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Perform day-to-day processing of financial transactions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Receive, verify, and process invoices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maintain listings of accounts receivable and accounts payable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ensure proper maintenance of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maintain financial files and records according to organisation policies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies, and other finance-related problems.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Financial Monitoring &amp; Reporting<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Support financial administration and overall financial management of programmes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work with the finance team for the preparation of reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Data &amp; Records Management<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Perform accurate data entry for financial and administrative purposes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ensure all financial documentation is stored securely and systematically.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maintain confidentiality and safeguard employees and organizational information.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><u>Qualifications\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">University degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution; Experience in similar position for at least 1 year, preferably in NGO environment;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experience in tax and social security legislation and bookkeeping;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experience in effective budgetary control;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fluency in Greek and English;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Strong interpersonal &amp; communications skills;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Excellent organizational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail; ;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ability to multi-task and work under pressure;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Strong IT skills (excel, word, internet, etc.);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">High level of integrity, sound work ethics, and sense of responsibility<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Desired: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Previous experience working with NGOs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experience in monitoring funded projects;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets and reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">mentioning in the email subject \u201c<strong>Finance Officer_Athens<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
