Building on SN\u2019s methodology of activating the \u201ceducational triangle\u201d of students, parents and teachers, the project delivers after-school and homework support in Roma-majority schools and settlements, inclusive education trainings for teachers and education stakeholders, Roma parental support groups, a participatory awareness-raising campaign, and a Policy Brief on Inclusive Education for Roma Children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Liaise with Roma communities in the project locations, building and maintaining relationships of trust with families, community members, Roma-led organisations, municipal services and other stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Act as a bridge between Roma families, schools and the project team, facilitating communication and mutual understanding.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work with school staff to support the participation, attendance and inclusion of Roma students, and follow up on children at risk of dropping out in close collaboration with the Education Expert.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work with Roma parents, encouraging their engagement in their children\u2019s education and supporting the organisation and facilitation of the Roma parental support groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Support the implementation of the non-formal education activities (after-school and homework support), including outreach to children and families.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Consult with the Education Expert and Roma Advisory Board on community needs, cultural considerations and emerging issues, ensuring that project activities remain relevant and culturally sensitive.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Contribute to the development of the Policy Brief on Inclusive Education for Roma Children, including gathering input from communities, parents, teachers and the Roma Advisory Board and support the relevant advocacy and dissemination activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Work closely with the Communications team on the awareness-raising campaign, contributing to its idea, concept and execution, and facilitating the participatory process through which Roma children and youth shape its key messages.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Design and implement the projects\u2019 overall communication and dissemination activities, including launch and closing events as well as community engagement events and activities, in collaboration with SN\u2019s comms team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Contribute to monitoring and data collection and to the preparation of project reports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ensure compliance with SN\u2019s Child Safeguarding Policy and child protection standards across all project activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Proven experience of working with Roma communities (minimum 2 years), e.g. community work, mediation, outreach or educational support for Roma children, youth and families (Mandatory Requirement).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">University degree in Education, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field; relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experience in awareness-raising, communication or participatory activities with children and young people will be considered an asset.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good understanding of the barriers faced by Roma children in education (e.g. segregation, early school leaving, discrimination).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Proficiency in Greek (written and spoken); knowledge of Romani is a strong asset.
