The role aims to ensure that community members are effectively informed about the intervention, understand its purpose and benefits, and are able to engage with the process. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The post holder will also support the coordination and monitoring of the construction works, working closely with SolidarityNow\u2019s Project team, the local community and other relevant stakeholders to help ensure the smooth implementation of the project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Provide information to residents about the WASH intervention through community meetings, information sessions and culturally appropriate communication.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Build relationships with community members and facilitate their engagement throughout the construction process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Explain the purpose and expected benefits of the WASH facility, taking into account the local social and cultural context.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Facilitate communication between the local community, SolidarityNow\u2019s Procurement Department, the Project Coordinator and other relevant stakeholders regarding the implementation of the construction works.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Monitor, track, and regularly report on the progress of the construction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both digital and physical.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Participate in coordination meetings with project staff, partners and other relevant stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Perform other related duties as required to support the effective implementation of the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At least 2 years experience in working with similar community engagement, community outreach or similar role.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fluency in Greek<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Proven experience in report writing and documentation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage effectively with community members.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A proactive, energetic and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Willingness and ability to work in Roma settlements and travel to the construction site required<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Clean criminal record<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Knowledge of Romani or another language spoken by members of the local community.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to:<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">mentioning in the email subject\u00a0<strong>Community engagement officer \u201cEnabling Environmental Justice for Roma Communities in Greece\u201d (WASH infrastructure component).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
