Job Title:\u00a0 <\/strong>Education Officer<\/p>\n

Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Implement educational activities, including language classes, according to the refugee population needs<\/li>\n
  2. Develop an educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different age groups, including adults and children<\/li>\n
  3. Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n
  4. Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n
  5. Ensure ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of educational projects<\/li>\n
  6. Supervise assistants and provide support to them in line with program objectives<\/li>\n
  7. Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n
  8. Support education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in education<\/li>\n
    • Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance.<\/li>\n
      • At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities.<\/li>\n
      • Experience gained within an international humanitarian NGO will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n
      • Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education.<\/li>\n
      • Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills.<\/li>\n
      • Experience in Training of Trainers\/Facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
