{"id":2008,"date":"2017-04-07T07:35:59","date_gmt":"2017-04-07T07:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=2008"},"modified":"2017-04-07T07:35:59","modified_gmt":"2017-04-07T07:35:59","slug":"monitoring-accountability-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/monitoring-accountability-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Monitoring and Accountability Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position: SN Monitoring and Accountability Officer <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Thessaloniki (Nationwide Travel might be requested)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monitoring and Data Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducts primary data collection, including interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions, upon request and according to the general and project-specific M&amp;E plan, and in cooperation with other departments staff.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies the eligible people within the target group and manages the questionnaires in collaboration with SN teams and other field stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Records responses as instructed and complies with the necessary requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Reports the number of surveys collected and any unusual situations.<\/li>\n<li>Compiles projects and activities\u2019 data and informs the databases and tools.<\/li>\n<li>Turns over used in survey materials to the MEALPQ senior team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accountability<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures operational effectiveness of Concern Response and Feedback mechanism tools and collects info and data from the complaint mechanism tools.<\/li>\n<li>Aggregates complaints\/feedbacks from field level databases into the central complaints database.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures visibility and accountability material is in place and used.<\/li>\n<li>Supports field teams on how to share relevant project information with communities so communities are aware of SN work (vision, mission, project plan).<\/li>\n<li>Supports staff to ensure that projects are carried out with participation from all affected communities and that information is shared with affected communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follows confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains contact with beneficiaries\/target groups (receive requests, provide task-related information, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Drafts reports on demand of the department management.<\/li>\n<li>Participates to any other task to achieve the department, projects and SN overall objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in working with NGOs and\/or client-oriented services.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and knowledge of the humanitarian context and civil society environment in Greece.<\/li>\n<li>Respect of humanitarian principles.<\/li>\n<li>University Degree in Humanities, Political Science, Business Administration, Statistics and\/or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of two of the following languages: Arabic (preferred), Greek, English.
