{"id":2263,"date":"2017-05-26T09:00:33","date_gmt":"2017-05-26T09:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=2263"},"modified":"2017-05-26T09:00:33","modified_gmt":"2017-05-26T09:00:33","slug":"%ce%b4%ce%b9%ce%ba%ce%b7%ce%b3%cf%8c%cf%81%ce%bf%cf%82","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/%ce%b4%ce%b9%ce%ba%ce%b7%ce%b3%cf%8c%cf%81%ce%bf%cf%82\/","title":{"rendered":"[:el]\u0394\u03b9\u03ba\u03b7\u03b3\u03cc\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2[:en]Lawyer[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position: Lawyer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: <strong>Boeotia (Thiva)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SN is seeking for a qualified and experienced lawyer, dealing with a wide range of law matters, that people facing multiple discriminations and marginalities must address.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct legal aid: provide with legal information and advice individually or in group sessions;<\/li>\n<li>Referrals: map needs, gaps and other services; refer cases to other entities as appropriate and by providing rigorous follow up, ensure that these cases proceed towards resolution<\/li>\n<li>Case management: Resolve problems through mediation or other informal dispute resolution mechanisms, where appropriate; intervene with a wide range of activities that vary from information provision to court representation<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records of all activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum five years of experience in practicing law<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of two of the following areas of Greek law: asylum, civil and labour, human rights<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of administrative, welfare or criminal law is desired<\/li>\n<li>Legal analysis: ability to identify and address legal issues for advice and representation<\/li>\n<li>Substantial experience of advising and representing individuals of limited means on a professional or voluntary basis<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience of human rights protection work, especially of vulnerable social groups, is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous work within an NGO context.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to recruitment@solidaritynow.org mentioning in the email subject \u201cSN Lawyer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
