{"id":2314,"date":"2016-10-01T14:33:51","date_gmt":"2016-10-01T14:33:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=2314"},"modified":"2017-06-02T14:36:31","modified_gmt":"2017-06-02T14:36:31","slug":"head-program-implementation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/head-program-implementation\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Program Implementation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position: Head of Program Implementation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Athens (Nationwide Travel might be requested)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Part Time<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management of all Program Implementation sectors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leads the initiation of project proposal and concept development<\/li>\n<li>Provides supervision and management for all SN projects and leads the establishment and functioning of strong, effective and coordinated projects Implementation teams.<\/li>\n<li>Manages the complete life-cycle of projects within his\/her assigned portfolio, from proposal development to grants closeout<\/li>\n<li>Ensures project\/program implementation is on time, on target and on budget<\/li>\n<li>Develops and oversees program implementation strategies, including partnership frameworks, beneficiary targeting etc<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that required technical support is provided to the implementation teams and that implementation is standardized across different units, teams and areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grants management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversees resources and grants management to ensure that projects are managed in a manner which achieves the program\/project goals, in line with SN policies and objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Manages a small portfolio of re-granting grants or as delineated by applicable donor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Staff Management and Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures appropriate and accountable staffing within the projects implementation teams<\/li>\n<li>Manages the projects implementation teams and provide technical support as required; Manages the performance of all project staff<\/li>\n<li>Incorporates staff development strategies and Performance Management Systems into team building processes; is responsible for capacity building and mentoring of program\/project officers to ensure they develop their capacities to manage sector portfolios and projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in a humanitarian\/development context, including significant field experience<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge and experience of NGO humanitarian\/development program cycle management and experience of working within a complex organizational structure<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of refugee\/IDPs response and of the Greece specific context<\/li>\n<li>Very good knowledge of international humanitarian systems, institutions and donors, and of procedures, accountability frameworks and best practices in emergency management<\/li>\n<li>Substantial experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control and securing and managing grants from major institutional donors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to recruitment@solidaritynow.org mentioning in the email subject \u201c<strong>SN Head of Program Implementation<\/strong>_ <strong>Athens<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
