{"id":3681,"date":"2017-08-04T10:12:57","date_gmt":"2017-08-04T10:12:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=3681"},"modified":"2017-08-04T10:41:02","modified_gmt":"2017-08-04T10:41:02","slug":"procurement-logistics-manager-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/procurement-logistics-manager-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Procurement &#038; Logistics Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0 Procurement &amp; Logistics Manager <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Head of Operations, the Procurement &amp; Logistics Manager is responsible for (1) Procurement, (2) Asset Management, (3) Fleet Management, (4) Warehousing of all staff working in the Procurement and Logistics Unit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Athens (Nationwide Travel might be requested)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate the smooth and timely procurement process of all purchased items and services according to the SN Policy.<\/li>\n<li>In close coordination with the Head of Operations ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective strategies to save time through the use of framework contracts, improved coordination of purchasing and developing procurement plans.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct efficient and collaborative procurements which are corporately compliant (advice, tendering, evaluation award &amp; contract management).<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all donors procurement procedures are related to procurement activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure systematic process of transporting items from suppliers to field locations, ensuring full control of movement and receipt of items.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the procurement processes are in line with applicable licenses and are properly documented.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that vendor eligibility screening is carried out and updated regularly.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure logistics staff involved in procurement are fully aware of all SN procurement policy and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise inventory management\u00a0for all facility assets.<\/li>\n<li>Overview the motor vehicle scheduling and management.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and evaluate service providers\u2019 performance.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and report on external meetings with local partners, NGOs and other actors.<\/li>\n<li>Represent organization and its interests in the field and ensure good and regular communication.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly logistics reports for supervisor containing current developments, achievements, and working plans for the following week and ensure that supervised staff submits such reports in an accurate manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Knowledge and Experience<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar level qualification<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience of a minimum of <strong>three years<\/strong> in humanitarian logistics (in international NGOs) with progressively senior management responsibilities;<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of donor guidelines and regulations, compliance requirements and procedures (UNHCR, ECHO).<\/li>\n<li>Working experience in logistics and procurement management within NGOs and experience in managing a diverse team in an often-stressful environment.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent planning and decision-making capabilities and excellent ability to execute systems.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing and leading other staff teams.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask, think creatively and work with little supervision in an often-stressful environment.<\/li>\n<li>Very good reporting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international and multicultural environment and manage a diverse and growing team.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written English language skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to recruitment@solidaritynow.org mentioning in the email subject \u201c<strong>SN Procurement &amp; Logistics Manager<\/strong>_ <strong>Athens<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Not later than by <strong>Friday 1st of September 2017<\/strong>.
