{"id":3887,"date":"2017-09-06T15:02:27","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T15:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=3887"},"modified":"2017-09-06T15:06:24","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T15:06:24","slug":"educational-officer-thessal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/educational-officer-thessal\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Educational Officer (Blue Refugee Center)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position: Senior Educational Officer (Blue Refugee Center)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Thessaloniki<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Part Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Implement educational activities, including <strong>French language classes<\/strong>, per the refugee population needs<\/li>\n<li>Develop an educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different age groups, including adults and children<\/li>\n<li>Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of educational projects<\/li>\n<li>Supervise other French teachers and provide support to them in line with program objectives<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n<li>Communication with donor and filling of corresponding reports<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Excellent French<\/strong> and one more language either Greek or English<\/li>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in education (any subject)<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration.<\/li>\n<li>Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance.<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities.<\/li>\n<li>Experience gained within an international humanitarian NGO will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Training of Trainers\/Facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please fill send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> by Friday, September\u00a0 15th, 2017, mentioning in the email subject \u201c<strong>SN BRC Senior Educational Officer<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
