{"id":4147,"date":"2017-10-25T12:40:54","date_gmt":"2017-10-25T12:40:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=4147"},"modified":"2017-10-25T12:40:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-25T12:40:54","slug":"education-officer-english-language-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/education-officer-english-language-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Education Officer (English Language)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Location:\u00a0Thiva<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position: Education Officer (English Language) (Thiva)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Part Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<table width=\"676\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\"><strong>Level 3<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"449\">The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Provide <strong>English language classes<\/strong>, per the refugee and migrant population needs<\/li>\n<li>Develop an educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different levels and age groups<\/li>\n<li>Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of classes<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support education, recreational and various activities when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of English and preferably Greek<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities.<\/li>\n<li>Masters or Bachelor degree in Intercultural Education will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Arabic or Farsi will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please fill send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> by <strong>Sunday<\/strong>, <strong>October 29th, 2017,<\/strong> mentioning in the email subject <strong>\u201cSN<\/strong> <strong>Education Officer (English)<\/strong> <strong>(THIVA)<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
