Position Summary: <\/strong>The Advocacy Officer is expected to update and coordinate SN\u2019s integrated advocacy plan.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Help update and enrich SN\u2019s advocacy plan; help define new areas according to changing needs; and have the competence to translate overall objectives into concrete plans of action.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor the planned activities in close collaboration with partners and report on their progress regularly<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with other NGOs and actors as to build synergies and advocacy alliances<\/li>\n
  • Ensure proper flow of information upstream and downstream, through regular participation in the meetings<\/li>\n
  • Build a solid base for any advocacy objective by means of using data and evidence from all available sources<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with the Heads of Communication and Programs within the frame of the advocacy plan<\/li>\n
  • Build connections, networks and synergies through regular contact with other NGOs and actors on the ground<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Essential <\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • University or higher education degree in social sciences, law or communications<\/li>\n
    • Three (3) years of experience in humanitarian \/relief service provision, organization or reception post<\/li>\n
    • Cross-cultural awareness and flexibility<\/li>\n
    • Computer literate<\/li>\n
    • Well-organized and efficient<\/li>\n
    • Good interpersonal & communications skills<\/li>\n
    • Native in Greek<\/li>\n
    • Fluent in English (both oral and written)<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work under pressure and multitask<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Proven professional experience in advocacy-related projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
