{"id":5386,"date":"2018-05-03T13:52:25","date_gmt":"2018-05-03T13:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=5386"},"modified":"2018-05-03T13:56:35","modified_gmt":"2018-05-03T13:56:35","slug":"lawyer-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/lawyer-9\/","title":{"rendered":"[:el]\u0394\u03b9\u03ba\u03b7\u03b3\u03cc\u03c1\u03bf[:en]Lawyer[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position: <\/strong><strong>Lawyer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Attica &#8211; Urban and Camps<\/p>\n<p><u>Transportation to the site will be provided, leaving each Morning from <strong>Athens Solidarity Center (Across Metro Station: Larissis Station)<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy <\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\"><strong>Level 1<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"449\">The job holder does not have contact with children<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Job purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SN is seeking for a qualified and experienced lawyer to manage legal cases to be followed up onsite and provide legal counseling to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants, as regards to their rights as third-country nationals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide individual legal counselling and undertake case management of children, families and GBV survivors (services varying from information provision to court representation);<\/li>\n<li>Deliver legal info sessions on the asylum procedures, civil and social rights and other integration-related issues in Greece<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal assistance and liaise with competent authorities to ensure the issuance of personal and other relevant documents to persons of concern (birth certificates, tax numbers, work permits etc);<\/li>\n<li>Identify protection and other support needs and refer them to respective colleagues or\/and other service providers when\/where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, assist in overall case management and provision of support to children, families and GBV survivors;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with other service providers onsite and follow referral pathways, upon consent of the beneficiary\/ies;<\/li>\n<li>Keep accurate records and report in a timely manner, following respective deadlines and procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Perform other position-related duties as assigned, pending on setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Law Degree and minimum five years of progressive experience in practicing law, of which at least three years in the field of refugee\/migration law and human rights law;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of international refugee law, EU asylum and migration law;<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of protection issues related to refugee children, families and GBV survivors;<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of administrative, welfare and criminal law;<\/li>\n<li>High professional ethics;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with vulnerable individuals of all ages, background and diversity;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in multi-ethnic environment; Cross Cultural Awareness and flexibility;<\/li>\n<li>Strong team player;<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate;<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient, flexible and able to handle pressure well;<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English (both written and spoken);<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing skills;<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to and promote Child Protection and GBV guiding principles;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous working experience with local or international NGOs will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<li>Field Working Experience in Camps\/Temporary Settlements of refugee\/migrant population<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please fill send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> by<strong> Sunday, May 13<sup>th<\/sup>, 2018<\/strong>, mentioning in the email subject \u201cSN_CFSH Lawyer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
