{"id":5841,"date":"2018-08-31T09:50:47","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T09:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=5841"},"modified":"2018-08-31T09:50:47","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T09:50:47","slug":"%ce%b4%ce%b9%ce%ba%ce%b7%ce%b3%cf%8c%cf%81%ce%bf%cf%82-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/%ce%b4%ce%b9%ce%ba%ce%b7%ce%b3%cf%8c%cf%81%ce%bf%cf%82-3\/","title":{"rendered":"[:el]\u0394\u03b9\u03ba\u03b7\u03b3\u03cc\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2[:en]Lawyer[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position: Lawyer <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Thessaloniki \u2013 Blue Refugee Center<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>\u00a0 Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy <\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\"><strong>Level 1<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"449\">The job holder does not have contact with children<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Legal Services Provision<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide individual counseling on e.g. the asylum procedure\/ international protection\/ refugee laws and individual rights follow up on cases regarding the European Relocation scheme, Family Reunification, and other cases that need legal assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide legal assistance in administrative procedures regarding issuing of birth certificate, tax number, work permit and the like<\/li>\n<li>Handle the identified legal cases from the sites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake legal cases and legally represent to the court if necessary and depending on the availability of resources<\/li>\n<li>Ensure referrals internally and externally, and be in close collaboration with Thessaloniki Solidarity Center\u2019s legal team<\/li>\n<li>Identify vulnerabilities and facilitate their access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Reporting and Case related info management<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Filling and registering all cases and actions in relevant reports<\/li>\n<li>Brief and full Social -Legal History taking<\/li>\n<li>Update the hard and electronic files per case<\/li>\n<li>Maintain hard and electronic files archive updated<\/li>\n<li>Prepare regular reports (i.e. weekly, monthly) and upon request<\/li>\n<li>Perform entries in the reporting system as required by the above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Other Duties <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with appointed persons and project managers of the Accommodation program.<\/li>\n<li>Brief and debrief beneficiaries for running programs availability and inform for any relevant change.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties, related to the basic Job Description as requested by the Supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Legal Studies Degree<\/li>\n<li>Lawyers Permission of Work<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years working experience in practicing Law (at least 6 months in project serving refugees and migrants population)<\/li>\n<li>Cross cultural awareness and sensitiveness<\/li>\n<li>Awareness and ability to work with survivors of Gender-based violence and the sensitivities and confidentiality measures that this involves.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate &amp; numerate<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal, team working &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and willingness to promote gender equality and understand different vulnerabilities, needs and capacities of men, women, boys and girls<\/li>\n<li>High professional ethics, including strict confidentiality of clients<\/li>\n<li>Native in Greek<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English (both written and spoken)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specific Studies or Proven Engagement in Refugee Focused Projects (e.g Assessments, Surveys, Missions in Islands or to the borders)<\/li>\n<li>Previous working experience with local or international NGOs will be considered as a strong advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> by <strong>Wednesday, September 12th, 2018<\/strong>, mentioning in the email subject \u201c<strong>SN Lawyer<\/strong><strong> BRC<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
