The candidate will be responsible for designing, organizing and facilitating activities for vulnerable groups, including children, teenagers, women and the elderly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy <\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\"><strong>Level <\/strong><strong>3<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"449\">The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, organize and facilitate leisure and non-formal activities<\/li>\n<li>Identify needs and local interests to plan activities and events<\/li>\n<li>Formulate service plans and priorities in cooperation with other providers<\/li>\n<li>Work with SN services to create relevant plans<\/li>\n<li>Lead activities such as arts, crafts, sports, music, day-trips, visits<\/li>\n<li>Lead classes and provide instructions in a recreational activity, such as crafts<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of local voluntary groups<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with and be responsible for the volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Identify local interests\/needs and ways to meet them<\/li>\n<li>Identify the training needs of local volunteers and ways to match them<\/li>\n<li>Provide and organize non-formal activities and develop new learning opportunities through non-formal classes<\/li>\n<li>Help potential learners to overcome barriers to learning<\/li>\n<li>Engage with individuals and community groups, such as parent\u2019s groups<\/li>\n<li>Undertake autonomously the administrative relevant duties<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the SN teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong>Other Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with other actors in the area (public sector, NGOs and local organizations) to link the beneficiaries and the Organization with the services needed<\/li>\n<li>Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive case management plan for beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Organize group activities for beneficiaries aiming to their empowerment and the development of their educational background<\/li>\n<li>Promote community engagement through structured activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Studies (Bachelor and\/or Master) in fields of Education (ex. Early Childhood studies, Intercultural education, Theater Studies), Social studies, Youth work.<\/li>\n<li>2 years\u2019 experience in a relevant position<\/li>\n<li>Cross-cultural awareness and flexible approach<\/li>\n<li>Well-organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure, accepting challenges and changes<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communications skills<\/li>\n<li>A high level of creativity, multi-tasking and problem-solving ability<\/li>\n<li>Ability to relate to, motivate and empathize with a range of people from different backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Excellent planning and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>A range of group-work skills, from creating and leading a group, to being a participative member to one<\/li>\n<li>Good command of MS office<\/li>\n<li>Fluent both in Greek and in English (both written and spoken)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working experience with different age groups is desired.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with refugee and migration population, but also locals.<\/li>\n<li>Personal interest of sports, music, painting, photography and other hobbies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of any foreign language in \u201cvery good\u201d level is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please fill send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> mentioning in the email subject \u201cTSC_Recreational and non-formal education Officer\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
