Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Implement after-school educational activities, including Greek language classes, per the refugee population needs<\/li>\n
  • Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different age groups of teenagers and children<\/li>\n
  • Provide homework support for the children who attend formal education<\/li>\n
  • Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n
  • Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n
  • Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of educational projects<\/li>\n
  • Supervise other teachers and provide support to them in line with program objectives<\/li>\n
  • Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n
  • Support education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with donor and file corresponding reports<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u00a0Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Excellent Greek and English<\/li>\n
    • Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in education (any subject) or Greek<\/li>\n
    • Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n
    • Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance<\/li>\n
    • At least 2 years of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities<\/li>\n
    • Experience teaching Greek as a foreign language<\/li>\n
    • Experience engaging with parents and communities in order to improve attendance and address students\u2019 needs<\/li>\n
    • Experience gained within an international humanitarian NGO will be an added advantage<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education<\/li>\n
    • Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n
    • Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
