{"id":6708,"date":"2019-03-13T09:14:52","date_gmt":"2019-03-13T09:14:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=6708"},"modified":"2019-03-13T09:14:52","modified_gmt":"2019-03-13T09:14:52","slug":"interpreter-arabic-farsi-dari-sorani-kurmanji-french","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/interpreter-arabic-farsi-dari-sorani-kurmanji-french\/","title":{"rendered":"[:el]INTERPRETER (ARABIC\/ FARSI\/DARI\/ SORANI\/ KURMANJI\/ FRENCH)[:en]Interpreter (Arabic\/ Farsi\/Dari\/ Sorani\/ Kurmanji\/ French)[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Position<\/strong>: Interpreter (Arabic\/ Farsi\/Dari\/ Sorani\/ Kurmanji\/ French)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status<\/strong>:\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during educational activities for adult beneficiaries of international protection;<\/li>\n<li>Provides clear and accurate interpretation services, during informative sessions, briefings, trainings etc;<\/li>\n<li>Provides written translation of documents to English or Greek;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, participates in field-trips and other external activities;<\/li>\n<li>In coordination with other team colleagues, ensures that all beneficiaries feel comfortable and safe to share their concerns freely, as well as participate in classes and other educational activities;<\/li>\n<li>Respects the code of conduct of the organization, with emphasis on confidentiality;<\/li>\n<li>Performs other position-related duties as assigned by the respective Team Leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications-Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent command of Arabic and\/ or Farsi and\/ or Dari and\/ or Sorani and\/ or Kurmanji and\/ or French;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of Greek; Knowledge of English language will be an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum one-year professional experience as an interpreter or cultural mediator;<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with protection issues related to refugee population;<\/li>\n<li>High professional ethics;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with children of all ages, background and diversity;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations in multi-ethnic environment; Cross Culturally Aware and flexible;<\/li>\n<li>Strong team player;<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient, flexible, able to handle pressure well and adapt in different working environments;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous working experience with local or international NGOs will be considered an asset<\/li>\n<li>Field Working Experience in Camps\/Temporary Settlements of refugee\/migrant population<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your\u00a0<u>CV and motivation letter in English<\/u>\u00a0to <strong>recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/strong> mentioning in the subject line of the email subject \u201cSN Interpreter\/<strong><u>Language\/location<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0for which you are interested to apply\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
