{"id":7049,"date":"2019-05-21T07:28:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-21T07:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=7049"},"modified":"2019-05-21T07:35:31","modified_gmt":"2019-05-21T07:35:31","slug":"educational-officer-greek-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/educational-officer-greek-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Officer (Greek)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job title: Educational Officer (Greek)<\/p>\n<p>Location: Andravida<\/p>\n<p>Status:\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<p>Child Safeguarding Policy:\u00a0Level 3\u00a0 The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement Greek language classes per the refugee population needs<\/li>\n<li>Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum, targeting and addressing the needs of different age groups of children, teenagers and adults<\/li>\n<li>Provide homework support for the children who attend formal education<\/li>\n<li>Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of classes<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent Greek and English and preferably Arabic<\/li>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in education (any subject) or Greek<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching English as a foreign language<\/li>\n<li>Experience engaging with parents and communities in order to improve attendance and address students\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested, please send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"recruitment@solidaritynow.org%20\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> mentioning in the email subject \u201cSN Educational Officer\/Andravida\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
