{"id":7051,"date":"2019-05-21T07:32:54","date_gmt":"2019-05-21T07:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=7051"},"modified":"2019-05-21T07:32:54","modified_gmt":"2019-05-21T07:32:54","slug":"senior-educational-officer-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/senior-educational-officer-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Educational Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong>Senior Educational Officer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Andravida<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p>Child Safeguarding Policy: Level 3\u00a0 The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generic responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement after-school educational activities, including Greek language classes, per the refugee population needs<\/li>\n<li>Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different age groups of teenagers and children<\/li>\n<li>Provide homework support for the children who attend formal education<\/li>\n<li>Oversee distributions of teaching and learning material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going monitoring, tracking and reporting of educational projects<\/li>\n<li>Supervise other teachers and provide support to them in line with program objectives<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support education, recreational and various activities<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with donor and file corresponding reports<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate access to available aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent Greek and English<\/li>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in education (any subject) or Greek<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching Greek as a foreign language<\/li>\n<li>Experience engaging with parents and communities in order to improve attendance and address students\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Experience gained within an international humanitarian NGO will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in the management of educational programs and mainly primary education<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested, please send your CV and motivation letter to recruitment@solidaritynow.org mentioning in the email subject \u201cSN Senior Educational Officer\/Andravida\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
