{"id":7061,"date":"2019-05-24T12:42:41","date_gmt":"2019-05-24T12:42:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=7061"},"modified":"2019-05-27T08:49:35","modified_gmt":"2019-05-27T08:49:35","slug":"educational-officer-greek-language-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/educational-officer-greek-language-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Officer (Greek language)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Thessaloniki<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job title<\/strong>: Educational Officer (Greek language)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Starting Date<\/strong>: ASAP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Status<\/strong>:\u00a0 Full Time<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\"><strong>Level 3<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"449\">The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide <strong>Greek language classes<\/strong>, according to refugee and migrant population needs<\/li>\n<li>Expand and build on the existing educational curriculum that targets and addresses the needs of different age groups of children, youth and adults<\/li>\n<li>Organize and provide educational material according to the population\u2019s needs<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain effective workplans<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and hardcopy<\/li>\n<li>Support educational, recreational and other psychosocial activities<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and facilitate referrals to available support<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with management, draft and submit project reports<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to other teachers in line with project objectives<\/li>\n<li>Ensure tracking and reporting of all educational activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree \u2013 Bachelor degree in Education (any subject) or Greek Language and Literature<\/li>\n<li>Masters or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Intercultural Education or Teaching Greek as a second\/foreign language will be preferred<\/li>\n<li>3 years\u2019 experience in educational efforts, create learning plans, develop, implement and monitor key education plans<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of training, curriculum development, implementation and educational administration<\/li>\n<li>Native in Greek and preferably English<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of professional experience in educational programs for refugees or rural\/vulnerable communities<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with humanitarian\/human rights\u2019 NGO will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and administrative skills in managing educational programs and mainly primary education projects<\/li>\n<li>Experience in report writing and excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in training of trainers\/facilitators skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Arabic or Farsi will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0by the deadline, mentioning in the email subject \u201cSN Educational Officer (Greek Language_BRC).<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
