Fluent in Greek and\/or English<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Safeguarding Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"92\"><strong>Level 3 <\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"356\">The job holder will have regular contact with children<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Interpretation<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Provide accurate and complete interpretation;<\/li>\n<li>Interpretation for beneficiaries and SN staff during one to one consultations or information sessions;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and precise information is passed to the beneficiaries in an understandable and culturally appropriate manner;<\/li>\n<li>Interpret orally during interviews with Persons of Concern to SN into specified languages maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the messages transmitted are properly understood;<\/li>\n<li>Provide interpretation in a neutral and non-judgmental manner;<\/li>\n<li>Carry out his\/her responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with SN standards for cultural, gender and age sensitivity;<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally carry out written translations from one language to another;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in field trips, visits and assessments as requested by supervisor;<\/li>\n<li>Whenever needed, escort\/accompany SN staff and beneficiaries to relevant NGOs or public services;<\/li>\n<li>Might be expected to be on call, work on weekend, or on ad hoc basis;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Required qualifications and skills<\/p>\n<p><u>Essential<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent interpretation skills;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in the above-stated language(s)<\/li>\n<li>Previous Experience in a relevant position<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with refugee and migration Issues and the related vocabulary<\/li>\n<li>Cross cultural awareness and understanding<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy &amp; numeracy<\/li>\n<li>Well organized and efficient<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal &amp; communications skills and ability to work in a multicultural team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Desired<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Field work experience e.g., in camps or temporary settlements<\/li>\n<li>Interest and experience to work with vulnerable groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Oral and written language skills in Greek and\/or English<\/li>\n<li>Minimum (2) years of relevant experience with an NGO;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a> by\u201d <strong>July 12<sup>th<\/sup> <\/strong>2019, mentioning in the email subject <strong>\u201cSN Farsi Athens\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
