{"id":7612,"date":"2019-09-21T12:51:24","date_gmt":"2019-09-21T12:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/?p=7612"},"modified":"2019-09-21T12:51:24","modified_gmt":"2019-09-21T12:51:24","slug":"support-it-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solidaritynow.org\/en\/support-it-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"SUPPORT IT OFFICER"},"content":{"rendered":"<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\">Reporting to<\/td>\n<td width=\"497\">IT MANAGER<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\">Member of<\/td>\n<td width=\"497\">Supply Chain &amp; Logistics Team<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"104\">Languages<\/td>\n<td width=\"497\">Greek, English<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User support (PCs, printers, scanners, Office 2016, web browsers, Windows 10, Office 365,\u00a0email, Internet access)<\/li>\n<li>Installing\u00a0and configuring Windows 10 systems<\/li>\n<li>Installing\u00a0and configuring\u00a0Office 2016 applications<\/li>\n<li>Take ownership of user\u2019s\u00a0issues reported and follow\u00a0problems through to resolution<\/li>\n<li>Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles<\/li>\n<li>Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks<\/li>\n<li>Setting up new users\u2019 accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the roll-out of new applications<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults<\/li>\n<li>Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve user\u00a0issue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A solid understanding of how software and operating systems work<\/li>\n<li>A solid understanding of how computer\u00a0networks work<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0knowledge of Windows 10\u00a0and general computer\u00a0support issues<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge TCP\/IP and other networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalling,\u00a0routing, switching)<\/li>\n<li>Basic\u00a0knowledge of the two\u00a0network types (LAN, WAN) and related networking concepts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Soft skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact with users\u00a0to establish what the problem is and explain the solution<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well within a team<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize the\u00a0workload<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0user-facing skills<\/li>\n<li>Good\u00a0written and verbal communication skills, both in\u00a0Greek and English languages<\/li>\n<li>Able to explain technical problems<\/li>\n<li>A dedication to continually update knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Good at organizing and multitasking<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of Office 2016, Active Directory, Office 365, and\u00a0Windows 10.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Diploma from a Technical Institution or School \u2013 Cisco certification will be a plus<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and motivation letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:thes-recruitment@solidaritynow.org\">recruitment@solidaritynow.org<\/a>\u00a0mentioning in the email subject \u201cSN Support IT Officer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>SN is an equal opportunity employer.
